The Village Greenes Social Committee promotes community engagement by providing opportunities for residents to get acquainted, share common interests and life experiences, and find consensus on community life. The Village Greenes Social Committee strives to be inclusive and promotes activities that are multi-cultural in welcoming, safe environments.

Among the many opportunities are:

  • Monthly Friday evening "Monthly Mingle" social gatherings designed to provide an opportunity for residents to come together and socialize.
  • Monthly “themed” social events such as the Annual Talent Show, Holiday Dinner Dance, and summertime holiday pool gatherings (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day).
  • These events and mingles may also include an activity or a game.

The Social Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of all VG social events. This includes consulting with our BOT liaison on budget and facility considerations.

The Social Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month to plan for upcoming events. Typically, the committee is planning ahead 3 to 4 months.  Committee meeting notes are available to all residents on the VG web site. Residents are welcome to submit suggestions to the committee by contacting the Committee Chairperson or by a request to attend a monthly meeting to present an idea.
